Windin Falls cascade over a sky high cliff face, with incredible, eye-opening views into a tropical rainforest. It’s a hidden gem. (Quite literally). A place truly so spectacular, it feels like something out of a fairy tale. To find it is a fun and daring adventure…(more…)
Noosa bursts with intense summer vibes. It’s full of pandanus trees, brilliant aqua waters and beaming, warm sunsets. While this coastal town is extremely busy (even in the “off” months), I still managed to find tranquil pockets of coastline to relax and bask in the spring sunshine.(more…)
Byron Bay reminds me of those warm, balmy summer days. When the sun sets and there’s still that warmth in the air, that freeing feeling that the day will never end. A feeling that sparks happiness and makes you feel secure. A feeling from my childhood in Texas that I experienced often.(more…)
Byron Bay sure is blissful. Especially when you know where to go to escape the crowds! While I thought I knew the best spots, turns out James and I had wayyy more to explore. Our latest trip to Byron Bay was absolutely amazing. We stayed right in the heart of Byron at Reflections Clarkes Beach and our days were still relaxed, sun-filled and extremely chilled out. (And we were staying right next to The Pass!)
The Glass House Mountains are magnificent. They are as breathtaking as you would imagine them to be, if not better. You can see the peaks from miles away, beautifully situated in the flourishing, green plains of the Sunshine Coast’s Hinterland. As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to witness them from the top.
To me, Lennox Head is a dream. I absolutely love the coastal living, the calm vibes and the friendly people. It also really reminds me of the Northern Beaches, where I am from. It’s a little less busy, with a slower pace, but this is exactly what’s great about this gorgeous part of New South Wales.
Scotts Head is one of those places you arrive and just stare in awe for a good 10 minutes before you say a word. It’s simply breathtaking. The sun shines onto the water, lighting it up, as the surfers catch their right hand break into shore. Cruising ever so slowly through the waves. It’s a surf town that has a surreal feeling to it.
It’s no secret that James and I adore Seal Rocks. We are there at any chance we can get. So it was fitting that we decided this would be where we spend my birthday! (Little did I know, our engagement too!) We had wanted to stay in the luxury villas at the holiday park across from the beach for so long. They were brand new, and we always drove past them saying we would do it someday soon.
Seal Rocks has it all. A breathtaking coastline, awe-inspiring marine life, some pretty solid surf breaks and a water colour so bright and blue, it’s like no other. It’s a true paradise just waiting to be indulged in.
Hyams Beach is home to the whitest sand in the world. It is amazing. My partner and I are always spending time on this beautiful stretch of coastline and it is always worth the trip. With sand so soft it feels like you are walking on flour, you’ll want to stay here all day. We spend hours here, just drifting in the water and walking along this unforgettable coastline.
